AVANTI PLUS ASSC Team Time Trials
 
Race 3 – 13 JUNE 2010
 Hi All,
 
Race 3 is almost upon us again below is a few reminders that will hopefully make for a safe and exciting race.
 
AVANTI PLUS Free Bike Checks
  • Please drop into any Avanti Plus store before each event and get your free safety check, detials of what is being checked is posted on the website.
  • Store locations are also on the website.
Lights
  • New batteries in front and rear lights – see the rules for lights so there is no problems on race morning.
Gearing
  • Roll out checked to 6.61 meters
Warm up
  • Front and rear lights on at all times
  • Accompanying adult riders must also have working front and rear lights
  • Support vehicle to follow, not lead
  • Motor pacing forbidden before, during and after the event!
  • Everyone to be off the road by 6.15am please
  • NO running the lights at Mission Bay (or any other set) road rules must be obeyed
 Race Numbers
  • Ensure numbers are attached to the left sleeve
·         SB= White
·         SG= Pink
·         JB = Lime 
·         JG= Yellow
  • Please ensure 2 riders to have numbers on both sleeves
 Marshals
  • Need to attend pre-race briefing at 5.45am at the Okahu Boat Marina car park.
  • Please NOTE briefing starts at 5.45am sharp and takes 10 mins max.
  • Failure to show may jeopardize your schools entry in the next race.
Start Chute
·         Cyclists should arrive at the start chute at least 10 min prior to their start time – First team is off at 6.30am.
  • New start order in grades
  • Know your start time as the numbers are not in order.
  • Parent riders MUST go through the same checks as there riders (except gear checks)
 Passing
  • Know the rules regarding passing. Failure to observe these will result in a penalty or disqualification. 
  • PLEASE make sure if your team is passing another team the lead rider of the team that is passing yells out ‘passing’ this MUST be yelled more than once, the first time is too be when you are approx 3-5m off the back of the last rider, then keep yelling it until you are level with the front rider of the team you are passing. This will ensure the team you are passing hears you and your safety and the other teams safety if maintained.
 Finishing
  • Keep left, stay as a team, no more than two riders abreast.
 Parents / Coaches – NO Parking areas
  • No parking between Solent Street and Ngapipi Road
  • No parking in Ports of Auckland or Rescue Centre area
  • No parking on Tamaki Drive at any location please
  • The car park in the retail centre at the start of Quay Street is a tow away area.
