Brian & Barbara Lambert opened their bike shop in November-1987 and has since seen cycling boom in popularity to the point where 12,000+ people take part in an annual ride around Lake Taupo.
In 1984 Brian rode a bike from Auckland to Wellington, in 19 hours, 59 minutes and 27 seconds.
It's a record that still stands. On the wall of Brians shop there's a photo commemorating his Auckland-Wellington ride. It's the sort of achievment that has made him something of a legend in cycling circles.
Call down any week night @ 5:30 for an organised bunch road ride. (Monday-Ladies night).
