Meet Our Staff

 

 

 

 

Steve is one of the co-owners of the store. He is very passionate about road cycling and seeing more people out riding. Steve has cycled extensively throughout Europe racing and touring. Steve is a Dunedin boy and still loves getting out on the roads around Dunedin. Steve leads the 'Starfish' bunch rides and organises their tours around New Zealand.

 

Stu is the other co-owner of the store. Stu spent his youth in Australia, where he took particular interest in track racing and road cycling. He is still competitive in both road and track now he lives in Dunedin. Stu is a petrol-head at heart and is currently completing an

 

Greg has been in the bike industry since the wheel was round. Greg is our workshop manager and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the mechanics of a bicycle. Greg enjoys riding recreationally with his 2 sons out on the Taieri. 

 

Blake is in his 3rd year of study at the University of Otago where he is completing a Bachelor of Physical Education. Blake is originally from Alexandra and has a strong background in kayaking and multisport. His favorite races are the Coast to Coast and the GoldRush. Blake enjoys helping people enjoy the outdoors through cycling.

 

  

Mac is a North Islander, but we dont hold that against him. Mac commutes into work daily from Ocean View. Mac enjoys cycle touring with his wife and he isnt afraid to put the hammer down on the staff bike rides. Mac works in the workshop during the week and is quickly picking up the fundamentals of being a cycle mechanic.

 

Andrew is a fully qualified engineer and physical education teacher. Andrew is originally from Christchurch and has a strong background in triathlon and multisport racing. Having been in the cycle industry for the last 5 years he is enjoying using his physical education background to benefit cyclists in the lower south. 

 

Jimmy is the longest serving Avantiplus Dunedin staff member. Jimmy is head of security and is integral in the day to day running of the shop. Music is one of Jimmy's biggest passions and he has a huge music collection. Jimmy enjoys mountain biking and has been known not to let the weather hold him back!

 

 

Bea rules the shop at least 4 days a week. She can be a little bit lazy but still she knows what shes talking about.
